AI consultant in Dallas-Fort Worth

I'm a software engineer who builds with AI and who also tells clients when not to. Most of the value is in deciding where it belongs.

Where AI earns its place

Conversations that vary

Customer messages that never come in the same shape twice.

Messy documents

Pulling the same fields out of files that all look different.

Sorting and routing

Deciding where an inquiry should go when the wording is unpredictable.

Drafting for review

First drafts that a person checks before anything is sent.

Where a rule works better

If the same input always gets the same answer, a rule is cheaper and easier to test. I'll tell you when that's the case, even when it means selling you less.

I wrote about this in when AI is overkill.

How I decide

Could a rule do it?

If so, I start there.

What does a wrong answer cost?

A typo in a draft and a wrong refund are different problems.

Who reviews the output?

Someone has to own the check, and I build it into the workflow.

How will we know it works?

I agree on a measure before I build, so it isn't judged by feel.

Questions

Do you meet in person?
No. I work by video call and shared screens, and I'm based in Grapevine, Texas.

Can you build AI features, or only advise?
Both. I build, and I'll say plainly when a simpler tool does the job.

Do you work with businesses outside Dallas-Fort Worth?
Yes. The work is remote.
